High-Scoring Forward Receives League Recognition

NEWARK, N.J. – The New Jersey Rockets are pleased to announce that forward Donny Flynn (Randolph, N.J.) has been named the Eastern Hockey League’s Forward of the Month for October.

Flynn currently leads the league in points (27) and assists (19), During October, Flynn had five goals and 14 assists in 11 games, including a three goal game against the East Coast Wizards (10/12) and three assist games against the New York Apple Core (10/5) and the Valley Junior Warriors (10/11).

“I’m so proud of how Donny’s game has developed here,” head coach Sean Cromarty said. “Donny is a puck magnet. He gives you a consistent effort each day and is on the ice in all critical situations for us. He doesn’t lose battles and has a real nose for the net.”

“It’s an honor just to be thought of,” Flynn said. “But to actually be named Forward of the Month is pretty special. I am very thankful for the recognition. I couldn’t do it without my coaches and my teammates.”
