BRIDGEWATER, NJ – The New Jersey Rockets, one of the first members of the newly created National Collegiate Development Conference, are looking to continue their success of the 2016-2017 season which saw eight players advance to Division-I and Division-III College Hockey.

“The Rockets have a long-standing tradition of developing players and promoting them to the higher levels of hockey,” said Rockets Head Coach Sean Cromarty. “We have seen players move onto the USHL, as well as receive Division-I and Division-III college opportunities in the past few years.”

Coach Cromarty attributes this success to the hard work of the players as well as the players academic success.

“I’m excited to get started at SUNY-Potsdam next fall,” said 16-17 Rocket Paul Michura. “It’s been a goal of mine to play college hockey since I was a kid and I’m looking forward to going back to school to get my education as well as play for a prestigious program like Potsdam.”

Players who have signed on to college hockey from the 2016-2017 Rockets include: Aaron Brickman (Trine University), Jeremy Briscoe (Lebanon Valley College), Matt Brown (UMass-Lowell), Anthony Del Gaizo (UMass-Amherst), Ethan Hendrickson (Saint Michael’s College), Paul Michura (SUNY-Potsdam), Riley Flynn (Bryn Athyn College) and Cole Sanderson (Babson College).
