Bridgewater, NJ – The New Jersey Rockets, proud members of the U.S. Premier Hockey League (USPHL), have hired Todd Wagenbach as the coach of the New Jersey Rockets Elite Team.

Wagenbach arrives after nine seasons in the New Jersey Titans organization, most recently as the head coach of the Tier I Midget U16 and U18 American teams. The former NJ Rocket was inducted into the New Jersey High School Hall of Fame in 2012 as well as the Christian Brothers Academy Hall of Fame in 2013. Wagenbach ended his playing career at The College of New Jersey, a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association before entering coaching in 2001.

“I think Todd is a great addition to our junior staff. I have known Todd for over 20 years and his teams always reflect his personal work ethic,” said Coach Cromarty. “You will see teams play inspired, structured hockey each and every game under his guidance.”

Wagenbach, a native of Brick, NJ, is ready to jump back in to the Rockets organization, this time behind the bench. “Joining the Rockets staff is especially exciting for me not only as a Rocket alumni, but because I will be joining two of my former Rocket teammates in Sean Cromarty and Tim Halewicz. I also spent most of my career playing against Jason Kilcoyne, our Jr. Premier coach, for whom I have the utmost respect,” said Wagenbach. “I've been coaching against all 3 of these guys for the last few years now, and I am really excited to join them along with Rob Broderick, who's reputation and resume speak for itself, to form what I feel is one of the strongest coaching staffs around at the midget and junior levels.”

Knowing first-hand the importance of a quality junior hockey experience, Wagenbach is ready to lead the Rockets Elite program with drive and determination. “As the Head Coach of the USPHL Junior Elite team, I look forward to giving local players in and around the area the opportunity to play junior hockey and to enjoy the junior hockey experience in preparation for their futures in college and in life,” said Wagenbach. “I was lucky enough to play for some great coaches when I was younger, and hope that I can be as influential to my players as my coaches were to me.”
